Since I received my medal…

…I have been even more busy than normal as a volunteer.

I spent 10 weeks volunteering alongside the Local Authorities emergency response team dealing with the Covid pandemic. I was helping with the planning and organising the response to those on the shielded list, helping to ensure medications were collected and delivered to those shielding, and food parcels were delivered to those that needed them.

I also volunteered alongside East Midlands Ambulance Service helping to move vehicles around when needed, keeping the front line workers on the front line. I was responsible for other logistics operations such as delivering samples from Northamptonshire up to Royal Derby Hospital. I also volunteered with Northants Fire & Rescue in movement of vehicles, and the delivery and collection of specialist equipment again keeping those key workers on the front line. Currently running a welfare support truck for East Midlands Ambulance Service and volunteering at both hospitals in Northamptonshire every weekend during December.
